“Dover’s a great track, and I can’t wait to get there, especially after the way things went at Charlotte. We were good right off the truck, and all weekend everything went exactly like it was supposed to. Sometimes it just all comes together, you know, and we’ve been waiting for something like that to happen all
year. I hope it’s a sign of things to come. Dover has always been a place I’ve enjoyed racing, so I’m happy to be going there this weekend. I think we’ve got a good shot at having another strong showing in our 360 OTC Toyota.
“Tommy [Baldwin, interim crew chief] did a good job stepping in and taking over when we needed someone to fill the crew chief position for a while, and I’m hopeful that we’ll grow to be an even stronger team with David Hyder on board. We went to Rockingham this week to spend a day giving everyone on the team a
chance to work together, and I was pleased with the way things went. I think David is someone that I’ll be able to work well with and also someone who will be able to work with both Tommy and Kevin [Hamlin, No. 22 crew chief]. Another good run in Dover and maybe we’ll start to see that light at the end of the tunnel.”
